5 Reasons to Invest in a Heat Pump

You might have stumbled onto this blog post because you’re searching around the internet for fast and effective AC repair in Columbia Valley. While it might seem like this is about a different topic, it’s really not. Every air conditioner has a lifespan, and it’s going to need to be replaced eventually. If you’re looking around for help with repairs then there’s a good chance your air conditioner is on its way out.

If it’s not, then hey—call our pros and we’ll get to your home right away and fix it.

If it is, then this might be a good time to consider your options. There’s no rule in the rulebook that says you have to invest in another central air conditioner. In fact, if you’ve got a failing heater and a failing air conditioner, this might be the perfect time to invest in a heat pump.

1. They’re Incredibly Efficient

It’s no mystery that heat pumps are some of the most efficient air conditioning and heating systems on the market. This is one of the reasons why they cost so much to install. They’re very good at drawing in heat when you need it during the winter, and releasing heat to keep things cool during the summer. And they do this all by using up very minimal electricity.

2. They’re All-in-One Systems

Why would you want an air conditioning system that’s barely even able to keep your home warm during the winter? We get harsh winters here in British Columbia, and any system that can help keep our homes warm while also keeping them cool in the summer is a blessing. Heat pumps take all the complication out of finding the right heater and air conditioner for your home, since this single system does both jobs!

3. They Last for 10-15 Years

If you’ve got a heater or an air conditioner that’s on its way out and needs to be replaced, then a heat pump could be an awesome replacement. Also, if both systems are on their way out at the same time, then you’ve got a huge opportunity to get the most cost-effective solution for the long-term.

Just remember, any heat pump will only last 10-15 years with two maintenance visits every year, since they work in both heating and cooling seasons.

4. They’re Perfect in Areas with Cheap Electricity

One of the biggest draws that electric furnaces come with in our area is that electricity is very cheap. We can heat and cool homes with high efficiency by using the affordable method of electricity. With a heat pump, all you need to worry about is your electricity bill—which means no more paying attention to oil or gas prices!

5. They Can Even Be Ductless

If your home is too old or small to have air ducts, and you don’t want to pay for the intrusive procedure to get them installed, then a ductless mini split system could be perfect for you. Call us today to discuss which option might be the right one for your home. And remember, we can find you a heating and cooling system on any budget. We promise!
